Roke Biotechnologies, LLC. was founded in 2020 by Mike Lynch and cofounders Romel Menacho-Melgar,
John Decker, Adim Moreb, and Jennifer Hennigan. Roke is aimed at commercializing novel 2-stage protein
expression and purification technologies enabling advances in processes for making proteins used in research as well as in the industrial and the pharmaceutical industries.
DMC Biotechnologies, Inc. was founded in 2015 by Mike Lynch and cofounder Matthew Lipscomb, based on
2-stage Dynamic Metabolic Control technology developed in the Lynch Lab at Duke University. DMC is focused
on deploying this technology platform to develop novel sustainable processes for numerous chemicals, ranging
from those used in animal feed and nutrition to ingredient in many consumer products. DMC currenlty has two sites
Boulder, CO and Durham, NC.
OPX Biotechnologies, Inc. was a start up founded in 2007 by Ryan Gill and Mike Lynch, based in part
on Mike's thesis work at the University of Colorado @ Boulder. OPX was focused on leveraging advacned genomics
technologies to develop sustainable industrial bioproducts including green acrylic acid (derived from
3-hydroxypropionic acid produced via fermentation) and fatty acids. OPX was acquired by Cargill in 2015.
